THIS WEEK:
Brooke LoBue from the University of Utah indoor track & field team will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in the 2002 NCAA Championships. The meet will begin on Thur. Mar. 7 thru Mar. 9. LoBue has had an outstanding year in the Pole Vault. Her second place finish (13'05.50) at the Snake River Open on Jan. 19 automatically qualified her to compete in the NCAA Championships.
LAST WEEK:
The University of Utah indoor track & field teams finished the last day of competition at the 2002 Mountain West Conference Championships on Sat., Feb. 23rd. The men's team finished in sixth place and the women finished fifth. Top finishes for Utah included Nephi Tyler's second place finish (4:19.72) in the one mile run, and April Jackson's third place finished (8.63) in the 60-meter hurdles and second place finish (1.72m) in the high jump.
AFTER THIS
The Univeristy of Utah outdoor track & field teams will kick off their 2002 season at the Stanford Invitational Distance Carnival in Palo Alto, Calif., on March 20. They will then compete at the BYU Invitational in Provo, Utah, on Apr. 6.
