Ute Soccer Team Opens Spring Season

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah soccer team will kick off its spring season, tomorrow, Mar. 1. The team will host an indoor tournament at the U. consisting of instate teams: Utah, Weber State, Utah Valley State College (UVSC) and Utah women's club teams. Utah will play a total of 5 games between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Admission is free to the public. Games are played at the Bubble, the University of Utah indoor facility. Each game is 25 minutes in length. The format is 8 players on each team play on the field at one time (7 field players + a goalkeeper).
"We are excited to be hosting this event again this year," says Assistant Coach Gabriel Bolton. "This is a great way to kick off the spring because the format for the games is a lot of fun. They are fast and high scoring which provides a great deal of excitement."
