Launiere and Kartchner to Participate in European Spring Cup

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Head Coach Beth Launiere and junior setter Kelsie Kartchner are spending 11 days in Brno, Czech Republic as part of the USA Select Team. Sanctioned by USA Volleyball and organized by Bring It Promotions, the USA Select Team is participating from May 8-18 in the European Spring Cup for the third consecutive year.
This year's competition has a field of nine European National Teams including Czech Republic (A and B Teams), Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Estonia, Turkey, Denmark, and Sweden.
The USA Select Team is comprised of top collegiate players, including many women that are considered part of the USAV "pipeline" of potential National Team athletes. Coaching the team are Launiere, Reed Sunahara (University of Cincinnati) and Matt Darling (Auburn University).
