SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's soccer team's 2003 recruiting class has been recognized as one of the best in the West Region and the nation by Soccer Buzz.
The Utes' group of 10 signees was ranked 37th in the country and ninth in the region by Soccer Buzz magazine. The ranking is the highest of any recruiting class in the Mountain West Conference and the best in the history of the Utah program.
Utah's recruiting class includes one U.S. Youth National Team member, Adele Letro, and three West Regional Olympic Development Team (ODP) Pool members in Michelle Deatherage, Amanda Feigt, Melissa Wayman.
"The coaches and players here at Utah have worked very hard to create a successful and positive environment," said Head Coach Rich Manning. "We are excited that these talented players who make up our incoming class want to be a part of this environment."
"We have some talented freshmen coming to the program this fall," Manning continued. "More importantly, they are also good students and people with high character. They will have a positive impact here at Utah both right away and in the future."
