SALT LAKE CITY - Ashley Anderson, who was an all-state selection at Olympus High School, has joined the Utah women's soccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant.
Anderson has coached the Impact club team the last two years and was an assistant coach at Skyline High School in 2002, helping to lead the Eagles to the Utah state championship. The former Ashley Kjar played college soccer at Pennsylvania from 1997-2000. As a defender, she was an all-Ivy League selection the last two years and team captain as a senior. She graduated from Penn with an economics degree in 2001.
Anderson is a native of Salt Lake City and graduated from Olympus High School in 1997. She was an all-state soccer player, leading the Titans to three state championships (1994-96). Anderson was named the 4A MVP by the Deseret Morning News in 1996.
Anderson, 24, works for Goldman Sacs financial services firm. She is married to Chris Anderson.
