Quoting Manning
On playing Saint Mary's: "The players on the Saint Mary's team have a very high degree of mental and physical toughness. The Gaels also have an enthusiastic crowd, which makes for it difficult on the visiting team. They will be tough to beat on their home field. It will be a fun challenge for us."
On Sacramento State: "We played Sacramento State there last spring. They moved the ball around well. I'm sure they have added some good players to the team this year and will be much improved. This will be our final tune-up before the start of conference play, and it will be important for us to finish the first part of our season with a positive performance."
From the Training Room
Junior forward Lauren Field underwent a procedure last Friday morning in an effort to correct a heart condition she has been experiencing since last spring. She is expected to be out 7-10 days.
