Eight high school players have recently signed national letters of intent with Utah, which went 16-2-2, won the Mountain West title and was ranked in final Top 25 polls in 2003.
Joining the Utes this fall will be Emily Boshard (Defender - Provo, Utah), Emily Campbell (Forward/Defender - Hyde Park, Utah), Chelsea Card (Forward - San Clemente, Calif.), Melissa Crespo (Defender - Milpitas, Calif.), Whitney Dorsey (Midfielder - Wheat Ridge, Colo.), Amy Edman (Goalkeeper - Salt Lake City), Kiley Jones (Midfielder - San Clemente, Calif.), and Amanda Sanchez (Midfielder/Defender - Sacramento, Calif.).

"In order to have a good team, it is important to have a competitive environment filled with hard-working players who also have good character," Manning continued. "These eight definitely fit that profile. Because of that, we are going to have an electric atmosphere within the team next fall."
Utah's signees include two players from the Southern California Blues and one from the Colorado Rush, two of the top girls soccer clubs in the country. Three players gained experience with the Region IV Olympic Development Program (ODP). Also in the group are three players from the rich talent pool in Utah.
"With the success we have had the last two seasons, it is rewarding to see that quality recruits from the highest level of youth soccer want to join our team," commented Manning. "These players will come to the University of Utah well prepared for college soccer."
