Utah Head Coach Rich Manning
"New Mexico is one of the best defensive teams that we have played all year. We had a difficult time keeping possession against them early in the game. But we talked about some things at halftime, and in the second half we did a much better job of keeping the ball and moving it from side to side. It was nice to see that we were able make some adjustments and carry the game plan out as well as we did."
"I thought we got a good performance from a lot of different players. It was good to see Katy (Reineke) and Kelly (Isleib) get their first goals of the season. They've been working very hard and it was nice to see them get rewarded."
Utah Midfielder Katy Reineke
On scoring the penalty kick: "I've been practicing that shot all summer from that same spot, and when I saw the ball get placed there I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I was hoping to curve it around the wall to the near post. It ended up going over the wall, but it went right into the upper left corner of the goal where I wanted it. It felt good. I haven't scored for a long time, so it felt good to get that one."
