COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Utah women's tennis team finished its weekend with a win over Colorado State on Saturday. After the Utes earned the doubles point from wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, they played well in singles to earn a 4-2 victory over the Rams.
Emily Kwok and teammate Leigh Walsh had a great win in doubles against the Rams at No. 2. The duo swept Strasberger and Pallares for an 8-0 victory. Kwok also played a tough match at the No. 2 singles spot against Anne Andersen of Colorado State. The two went three sets, with the final one deciding the loss for Kwok of 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The last singles match of the day went unfinished after the second set. Freshman Leigh Walsh competed against Jasmin Singh of Colorado State at the No. 6 singles spot for a score of 6-1, 2-6 before the game was called.
