"It was a very positive first weekend for us. We found out a lot about our team, and we're happy to go out on the road and get a split against two quality opponents. I was very happy with our organization on defense. Katie Battazzo and Melissa Crespo in the middle, and Emily Campbell and McKenzie Joyner on the outside, played very well. I was also pleased with our effort and determination. We're looking forward to getting to play at home next weekend, and hopefully we can make some improvements before then."
"We showed flashes of a good attack at times against Santa Clara, and played pretty well for about the first 50 minutes. But we just had to play too much defense in the second half. You give them that many opportunities, and eventually a good team like Santa Clara is going to get one."
