Miraculous phenomenal is how I would describe today. So many things we saw had so much culture and history behind them that it was almost too much to take in. The Coliseum literally was breath taking. It was bigger than any stadium we had ever seen and to think of how long ago it was built astonished all of us. Many of us wished we could go back in time to see how all of the events really took place. To think of how old everything is here and how many famous and known people of the world have walked these streets is what really makes this place so awesome. The Fountain of Trevi was the most beautiful structure that we saw. There is water flowing in front of a huge building with horses and Gods and people make wishes in front of it too. It was dark when we went and the lights were shining on the water and it just illuminated the whole structure. It was gorgeous. We also walked into the Pantheon and saw the incredible architecture put into it. So many things about Rome are incredible and it's definitely one of the team's favorite tour sites so far.
Besides the outstanding buildings and history put into such an amazing city, there is of course the shopping. Who knew you could spend so much money in one city. Everywhere you go there are people bargaining on the streets with hand bags, belts, and sunglasses. On the Plaza Navona there were so many incredible artists lining the plaza as well as people doing anything they could to make money. We had so many Italian boys offering to make bracelets with a kiss in return. Apparently Steph was the hot commodity because after she gave one Italian boy a kiss on the cheek, so many guys were chasing her to get the same. It's such a different culture but totally amazing.
We all are so excited for another day in Rome!
