Seven Named to MWC All-Academic Team

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah placed 47 student-athletes on the Mountain West Conference 2007 All-Academic team for the fall semester, including seven volleyball players.
Lori Baird, Karolina Bartkowiak, Connie Dangerfield, Keisha Fisher, Kathryn Haynie, Leilani Ili and Stephanie Shardlow all earned MWC All-Academic honors.
Football led the way for Utah with 24 honorees, and cross country saw all nine of its team members recognized. Women's soccer and volleyball each had seven athletes make the list.
Fall sports include cross country, football, women's soccer and volleyball. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
