Utah Soccer to Play Spring Exhibition Friday

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's soccer team will play a spring exhibition contest with Utah State Friday at Ute Soccer Field. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
The match with Utah State will be Utah's only tune-up prior to the team's trip to South America in mid-March. The Utes are preparing for a 10-day trip to Argentina and Uruguay, where they will play three games between March 14 and 23.
"We've been training extremely hard over the past few months in preparation for our spring season and our trip to Argentina," Utah head coach Rich Manning said. "We are eagerly awaiting Friday's chance to get outside and play a bit. We have a great group of young players and we want to see how they do as we move forward and test ourselves against a good opponent in Utah State."
Admission to Friday's game is free. Should field conditions be unplayable at Ute Soccer Field, the contest will be moved to Rice-Eccles Stadium.
