Utah Volleyball begins spring schedule on March 6

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah volleyball team will participate in four exhibition events this spring, head coach Beth Launiere announced.
The Utes begin their spring schedule with an exhibition match against BYU Friday at 3 p.m. MT, in Provo, Utah.
The annual Utah Spring Tournament will be held March 28 all day at Crimson Court. Utah then heads to the Santa Barbara Tournament on April 11, then concludes its spring exhibition slate at the prestigious CBS Collegiate Beach National Championships in Riverside, Calif., on April 18.
The Utes are coming off one of their most successful seasons in school history in 2008, going 26-6 overall and appearing in the NCAA Sweet 16. The Utes won their final 14 matches in Mountain West Conference competition and tallied a 14-2 mark in league play to take the MWC title.
Starters Stephanie Shardlow, Karolina Bartkowiak, and Chelsey Sandberg plus libero Keisha Fisher return to the Ute roster in 2009.
