SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's track and field team will send a limited group of athletes to Provo, Utah this weekend for the BYU Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The athletes who have returned from winter break or are local residents will be competing at the event in the Smith Fieldhouse.
Utah will be competing against BYU, Weber State and Utah Valley University. The throwers will be competing on Friday at 12:00 p.m. MT while the sprinters and hurdlers will compete on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. No Ute distance runners will be competing at the meet.
"We will be sending a very limited group to BYU this weekend because many of our athletes won't return from the winter break until Monday," said head coach Kyle Kepler. "This will be a good meet for our local kids to start out with as we get going in the indoor season."
