SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah volleyball team's spring exhibition match at BYU has been cancelled, head coach Beth Launiere announced Monday. The Utes will play at Utah Valley in an exhibition match on Tuesday. First serve from the Shurian Family Activity Center is set for 2 p.m.
The Utes are coming off a 17-12 campaign in 2009 and finished in a third-place in the Mountain West Conference with New Mexico at 10-6 in league play. In her 20th season at the helm of Utah Volleyball, Launiere recorded her 400th victory and currently owns a 408-224 career record (all at Utah) for a .646 winning percentage.
AVCA West Region Honorable Mention and two-time All-MWC selection Karolina Bartkowiak joins middle blocker Danielle Killpack, libero Keisha Fisher and setters Stephanie Neeley and Abby Simmons as returning starters on the 2010 Utah roster.
