SALT LAKE CITY- The University of Utah volleyball team celebrated its 2010 season with a banquet in the South Lounge of the Jon. M. Huntsman Center.
The Utes finished the season 17-14 and were 11-5 in the Mountain West Conference, which earned third place. For a detailed look at the 2010 season, please read the final release.
In addition to honoring the team's accomplishments, head coach Beth Launiere and her staff handed out individual awards. Senior Karolina Bartkowiak was named the team's Most Valuable Player and Stephanie Neeley earned the Coaches Award. Senior libero Keisha Fisher was recognized as the Best Defensive Player for the second consecutive season.
Sophomore Natalie Nichols received the Most Inspirational Player award, while freshman Erin Redd earned the Most Improved Player award. Nichols and redshirt sophomore Miranda Bradshaw were honored with the team's Highest GPA award after posting 4.0 marks during the fall semester.
