SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's soccer team signed nine players to become Utes in the fall of 2012, head coach Rich Manning announced Wednesday. Five players hail from the state of Utah, while three Californians and a New Jersey native round out a well proportioned class that features three forwards, three midfielders, two defenders and a goalkeeper.
"We've been moving into our new home in the Pac-12 and these players have been able to see what we are building," said Manning. "Some joined up with us over a year ago and others came aboard in the last few days. They all see the possibilities here and have committed to bring their character, work ethic and talent to our team. We are so pleased to have them coming to the U. Our goals are high and I'm sure they will give their all to help us achieve them."
