SALT LAKE CITY - Megan Boudreaux and Berkeley Oblad have signed National Letters of Intent to play volleyball for the University of Utah beginning in the fall of 2015, head coach Beth Launiere announced Wednesday.
"We are so happy to have Berkeley and Megan join the Utah Volleyball Program," said Launiere. "They are both great volleyball players with size, athleticism and skill. Both Berkeley and Megan are outstanding student-athletes and overall quality people. The future is exciting with these two joining the current Utes in the program."

MEGAN BOUDREAUX
Position: MB
Height: 6-2
Hometown: South Jordan, Utah
High School: Bingham High School
Club Team: Aces Athletics
A three-year starter at Bingham High School under head coach Melissa Glasker, Megan currently leads her team with 63 blocks and a .332 hitting percentage. She has collected more than 115 kills and 60 solo blocks in her career, and has helped guide her squad to the state tournament the last four seasons where they were the state runner-up team in 2013. She was a first team all-region selection and all-state honorable mention selection following her junior season, and she has been named Bingham's Player of the Year on two separate occasions.
Megan played club volleyball for Aces Athletics out of Lehi, Utah, where she helped lead the team to a fourth-place finish in the Colorado Crossroads National Tournament.
Megan is the daughter of Doug and Connie Boudreaux and she has three siblings, Whitney, Mitch and Olivia.
Megan on choosing Utah: "I chose Utah because of the excellent volleyball program it has and the opportunity to play in the Pac-12."
Coach Launiere on Boudreaux: "Megan has played on one of the top high school teams in the state and her club team has been successful on a national level. She is an athletic middle that comes with a lot of experience in that position. Megan is a hard worker with good length and size, which is critical in the middle position and at the Pac-12 level. We are looking forward to working with her as she transitions to college and look forward to her continuing the strong tradition of wonderful middle blockers in the Utah Volleyball program."

BERKELEY OBLAD
Position: MB
Height: 6-4
Hometown: Henderson, Nev.
High School: Coronado High School
Club Team: Vegas Encore (2012-14), Club Vegas (2006-2011)
A four-year letter winner and a four-year starter at Coronado High School under head coach Matt Johnson, Berkeley was just recently named a 2014 Under Armour High School Second Team All-American selection and she currently ranks as the No. 34 player on the PrepVolleyball.com Senior Ace List as well. Berkeley has recorded more than 685 kills with a career hitting percentage of .388 and she has registered 57 solo blocks, 212 total blocks as well as 116 service aces. As a senior, Berkeley has 243 kills with a hitting percentage of .440, which ranks first in the state of Nevada, her 59 total blocks ranks 16th in the state as well. A 2014 Nevada Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year finalist, Berkeley and has helped guide her team to a 2013 Nevada State Championship and she will be playing in the 2014 State Championship this coming weekend.
Berkeley was named the 2014 Sunrise Region SE Division MVP and she has also been a three-time Sunrise Division SE first team member to go along with one Sunrise Division SE second team selection.
Berkeley played club volleyball for Vegas Encore - coached by Ruben Herrera and operated by Rodney McKimmey - this past season where her team competed in the Gold Division and was ranked in the top-25.
Berkeley played for the 2013 USA Youth A1 Team in the High Performance Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She also played for the 2011 USA Select A2 Team in the High Performance Championships in Tucson, Ariz., as well as the 2010 SCVA Select Team in the High Performance Championships in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
Berkeley on choosing Utah: "I chose Utah because it is where I felt most comfortable and I really felt at home there."
Coach Launiere on Oblad: "Berkeley plays for a great high school and club program in Nevada and comes to Utah with a wealth of experience in multiple positions. She is a big, strong athlete able to play both the middle and the outside hitter/right side positions. Her versatility will fit in well into our program. She has a strong work ethic and mentality, which we know is critical for success in the Pac-12. We are excited to have her join our program as we continue to strive to be one of the top teams in the country."
