Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus NCAA First Round on May 28, 2026

During the 2015 Utah Track and Field season, the Utes recorded two new school records, had 30 top-10 Utah performances and set 73 personal bests during the season.
The Utah women finished the season ranked tenth in the Mountain Region. The Utes finished 16th at the MPSF Championships, earning five team points.
Distance
True freshman Sarah Feeny stepping into a leadership role. At the MPSF Championships, Feeny competed twice in the same day and recorded personal best times of 4:44.41 in the mile and 9:24.54 in the 3,000 meter races and finished 10th in both events. Feeny's time in the 3,000 also ranks third on Utah's all-time list. Seniors Rebekah Winterton and Nicole Rietz accompanied Feeny in the distance events. Winterton recorded a season-best time of 16:40.02 in the 5,000 to place eighth for the Utes. Rietz recorded a 14-second personal-best performance (9:55.42) in the 3,000 at the MPSF Championships. Sophomore Jessica Sams also had a personal-best 3,000 time of 9:42.64, done at the Husky Classic.
Sprints
The sprinting events were highlighted by new school records in both the 200 and 400-meter races. Sophomore Alissa Atisme lowered her school record in the 200 at the New Mexico Classic. She also ran a personal-best 60 time of 7.74. Fellow sophomore Rhianna Williams set a new school record in the 400 at the MPSF Championships (54.46) to finish ninth at MPSF's.
Hurdles
Sophomore Christine Van Brocklin was the primary competitor for the Utes in the hurdle events. Van Brocklin recorded a season-best time of 9.16 seconds at the New Mexico Classic in the 60-meter hurdles.
Relays
In the 4x400 relay, recording a season best time of 3:46.41 at the MPSF Championships was a group comprised entirely of underclassmen - Grace Englund, Mesa Weidle, Alissa Atisme, and Rhianna Williams. The distance medley team of Andrea Chavez, Weidle, Allison Aafedt, and Hannah McInturff posted a season-best time of 11:38.75 at the MPSF Championships to place eighth overall.
Jumps
True freshman Michelle Norman proved her dominance as the top athlete for the Utes in the long jump and triple jump. Norman recorded a personal-best triple jump measuring 38 feet, 7.75 inches at the Husky Classic to earn fourth, and she finished 13th at the MPSF Championships in the event. In the long jump, Norman recorded another personal best of 18 feet, 2.25 inches to capture the event title at the Snake River Open. In the high jump, redshirt sophomore Kailey Banks cleared a mark of 5 feet, 5.25 inches four times throughout the season including the MPSF Championships, where she finished ninth.
Throws
Returning from redshirting the 2014 season, senior Destanae Howerton-Davis picked up right where she left off, capturing three event titles in the shot put at the BYU Invitational, Mountain State Games and the Wildcat Indoor Open, where she threw for a personal-best and currently the fourth-best throw on the Utah all-time list distance of 48 feet, 4 inches. She finished eighth at the MPSF Championships in the event. In the weight throw, senior Aoife Hickey led the Utes with a personal-best throw measuring 61 feet, 2.75 inches. She finished seventh in the event at the MPSF Championships.
