Volleyball to Host Spring Tournament This Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah volleyball team will hold its annual Spring Tournament this Saturday, March 28 at Crimson Court (HPER 101).
The tournament, which features Utah, BYU, Salt Lake Community College, Weber State, Utah Valley, Utah State, College of Southern Idaho and Montana State, will begin at 9 a.m. with matches to follow every hour. Matches are limited to one hour each with teams playing two sets in each game. Should matches finish before the hour ends, the following match could begin earlier than scheduled.
Utah is in Poll A along with BYU, SLCC and Weber State, while Pool B teams will include Utah Valley, Utah State, Southern Idaho and Montana State.
The Utes will open the event against SLCC at 9 a.m. and then follow against Weber State (appox. 11 a.m.). Utah's afternoon session will be against BYU (approx. 2 p.m.). Playoff matches will then follow with play beginning at approximately 3 p.m.
The Utes, who finished the 2014 campaign 20-13 overall with a 1-1 mark in the NCAA Tournament, defeated Utah Valley in two games earlier this spring.
