Third Ute honored since 2011
SALT LAKE CITY - Utah's Hailey Skolmoski was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All–District Team for Region 8 this morning.
Skolmoski, recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for her performance on the field and in the classroom, is one of two sophomores and eight Pac-12 selections on the 13-player roster. She currently owns a 3.88 GPA and is majoring in education.
The Riverton native is the third Ute to earn this distinction since joining the Pac-12 along with Lauren Dudley in 2011 and Megan Trabert in 2014.
Skolmoski, a two-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, has 11 goals on the season, second among conference players. Her 24 points pace the Pac-12 along with her seven game-winning goals.
The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the fifth year of the expanded Academic All-America program.
