SAN FRANCISCO - Three Utah Soccer student-athletes were recognized by the Pac-12 Conference as postseason award winners this afternoon.
Sophomore forward
Hailey Skolmoski was named First Team All Pac-12 after a season in which she led the conference in goals (13) and points (29). She is the first Ute to earn First Team status since the school joined in 2011. She was a two-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and was also the first Ute to ever win that award.
Senior midfielder
Katie Rogers was selected to the second team after starting every game for the Utes. The Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week back on Nov. 1, Rogers gives the Utes a pair of All Pac-12 selections for just the second time ever. Rogers was an All-Freshman selection back in 2013.
Defender
Tavia Leachman was appointed to this year's All-Freshman Team after starting every game at center back for the Utes and anchoring one of the stingiest defenses in the country. This is the sixth-straight season a Utah player has earned a spot on the All-Freshman roster
The Utes are hosting a NCAA Tournament contest for the first time in a decade this Saturday when they welcome Texas Tech. The contest kicks off on Saturday at 1 p.m.
