KANSAS CITY - Utah's
Katie Rogers was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-West Region Team this afternoon. The senior earned a spot on the second team after attaining a 3.61 grade point average in exercise and sport science.
Rogers is a four-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection and was a second team All Pac-12 pick this season for helping the Utes get to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. She was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 1, her first conference honor, and also scored the game-winning goals vs. No. 9 UCLA and Texas Tech in the NCAA Tournament
This is the second time Rogers has been named one of the top student-athletes by the NSCAA, earning All-Region honors in 2014 as a sophomore. She is the 20th NSCAA All-Region selection for the program since 1998.
