Utah Soccer Takes First in Spring Tournament.

LOGAN, Utah - Utah defeated host Utah State 1-0 to capture the final of the Aggie 7-A-Side Tournament yesterday. Freshman Max Flom scored the golden goal in OT to clinch the title and cap a great day of soccer.

The Utes fielded two teams in the event, which included squads from Utah State, Idaho State, Utah Valley and Weber State. The Utah "B" team moved through group play with three wins and a draw. In the semifinal, it defeated Idaho State, 2-0, on goals from Eden Jacobsen and Baylee Nielsen.

The winning squad consisted of July Gentry (GK), Liberty Taylor, Katie Rogers, Ali Allen, Mikayla Elmer, Eden Jacobsen, Max Flom, Taylor Slattery, Baylee Nielsen and Addie Jensen.

The Utah "A" team finished group play with a 1-2-1 record. The "A" squad consisted of Tamaryn Braun (GK), Janie Kearl, Allie Millerberg, Hannah Hyde, Kaycee Buckley, Paola van der Veen, Ella Ballstaedt, Cabria Turang and Natalie Vukic.
