Volleyball Rounds Out Spring Competition with UVU Tournament Victory

OREM - The Utah volleyball team closed out Spring competition winning the Utah Valley Spring Invitational this past Saturday. Along with the squad's home tournament win, the Utes managed to close out the final two weeks with tournament wins.
Utah opened pool play with a tie against Westminster (15-25, 25-14), but later went on to defeat Idaho State in straight sets (25-13, 25-21). The Utes then downed Utah State in consecutive sets (25-19, 25-23) to advance to the championship round against BYU.
The Cougars managed to take the first set, 25-18, but Utah countered with a 25-20 victory in the second set and went on to win the tournament with a 15-12 third-set-win over the Cougars.
Coupled with its tournament win in Salt Lake City last weekend, the Utes rounded out Spring competition in very good form and the squad will be loooking forward to opening camp later in the Fall.
