SALT LAKE CITY - Utah's
Hailey Skolmoski was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All–District First Team for Region 8 this morning.
The Riverton native becomes the third Ute to be honored on multiple occasions by CoSIDA, joining Lauren Hair ('09, '11) and Lauren Dudley Storer ('09, '11, '12). She is also the first Ute to ever earn First Team honors, accomplishing the feat two years in a row.
Skolmoski, recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for her performance on the field and in the classroom, is one of 10 Pac-12 players on the All-Academic First Team. She currently owns a 3.90 GPA and is majoring in human development and family studies
On the field, Skolmoski led Utah with eight goals this season, good for fourth in the Pac-12, and finished second on the team with 17 points.
The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the sixth year of the expanded Academic All-America program.
