Utah Soccer Adds Brenden Ottman to Coaching Staff

Former UVU coach joins Utes

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Soccer head coach Rich Manning announced the addition of Brenden Ottman as goalkeeper coach this morning.

"Brenden is a talented goalkeeper and has quickly turned into a top trainer," Manning said. "He can coach the technical, tactical, mental and physical aspects of the position very well. He did a fantastic job last season at Utah Valley and has done great work at the youth level.

He is a student of the game and brings that energy to the field. We are looking forward to having Brenden join our staff and help our goalkeepers play to their very best."

Ottman coached at Utah Valley last season as the Wolverines allowed just 1.14 goals per game. Prior to that, he worked with Utah Celtic FC and coached the '01 and '05 Green teams as well as training the club's goalkeepers.

Ottman originally attended Niagara University and started 13 of 18 contests as a freshman. He then transferred to BYU and has played with the Cougars for the last four seasons in the USL Premier Development League

Ottman hails from Fort Worth, Texas and went to Keller Central High School where he was named All-State in 2013. He played his club soccer with Solar Chelsea '95
