Cacciacarne goal wins Highlight of the Year
SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Soccer was awarded a Governor's State of Sport Award last night by the Utah Sports Commission.
The Utes were awarded Event/Highlight of the Year for Haylee Cacciacarne's goal that sent them to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.
For Cacciacarne, it was her first collegiate goal and it could not have come at a better time. She netted a header in the 87th minute to upset No. 10 Florida State.
The Utes are in action tomorrow as they continue their spring schedule at BYU. Kick-off is slated for 2 p.m.
