SALT LAKE CITY –
SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah volleyball team will have a total 15 of its 31 matches televised by the Pac-12 Network for the upcoming 2017 season, the league office announced on Thursday.
"We are excited to be on the Pac-12 Network 15 times this coming season, which is the most ever for the program since the network started televising events," said Utah head coach
Beth Launiere. "We believe our team will be very exciting to watch this season and we are excited that our fans will have the opportunity to follow the majority of our conference matches."
In addition to 14 Pac-12 Conference matches, the Utes' non-conference match against BYU (Sept. 14) will also be televised by the Pac-12 Network. Utah's match at Kentucky (Aug. 25) will be aired live on the SEC Network, giving the Utes a program-most 16 total matches on television.
Utah's first six conference matches, which begins with a home match against Colorado on Sept. 22, will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. Following its conference-opener against the Buffs, Utah's five other televised matches to begin Pac-12 play include hosting California (Sept. 24), Oregon (Sept. 29) and Oregon State (Sept. 30), along with road matches at Washington (Oct. 6) and Washington State (Oct. 8).
Utah's match at Arizona State (Oct. 15), followed by home matches against UCLA (Oct. 20) and USC (Oct. 22) will also be televised by the Pac-12 Network. Utah will close out the second-half of conference play with televised matches at Oregon (Oct. 25), at USC (Nov. 9), home against Arizona State (Nov. 17), and then on the road against Stanford (Nov. 22) and Colorado (Nov. 25).
Utah's complete 2017 season schedule is set to be released later next week.
