SALT LAKE CITY – Fresh off its 2016 NCAA Tournament appearance, the 2017 Utah volleyball squad will report to fall camp on Monday with preseason practices set to begin on Tuesday.

Beth Launiere, who enters her 28th season with the Utes, welcomes back a loaded roster from last season's NCAA Tournament squad, including All-American
Adora Anae and All-Pac-12 honoree
Tawnee Luafalemana.
Carly Trueman returns to the team as well to round out the senior trio.

Utah will introduce eight new players this season, which includes incoming freshmen

Kenzie Koerber,
Camryn Machado,
Shannon Scully and
Alexa Van Komen, along with junior transfer
Lauga Gauta.
The Utes open camp with a single practice on Tuesday, but will move into two-a-days the remainder of the week. The team will cap off Friday with a closed intrasquad scrimmage and then round out the first week with a pair of practice sessions on Sunday.
The team will continue two-a-days the following week in preparation of its annual Red/White Scrimmage, which is set for Saturday, Aug. 19. First serve is set for 2 p.m. inside the Huntsman Center. The Red/White Scrimmage will be open to the public.
Utah officially opens the 2017 campaign on the road, taking part in the Bluegrass Battle – a four-team tournament hosted by the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. – Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25-26. The Utes open play against Cincinnati and UK that Friday, followed with a match-up against Arkansas State on Saturday.
