SALT LAKE CITY – After earning a five-set victory over Oregon State on Thursday, October 11, Utah now prepares for No. 14 Oregon. The Ducks got a victory of their own on Friday against Colorado to move to 5-2 in Pac-12 play.

Last Time Out: The Utes built an early 2-0 lead against the Oregon State Beavers, but had to recollect themselves in the fifth and pushed themselves to get a big home victory.
Dani Drews had a tremendous match having 23 kills hitting .353 against the Beavers.
SERIES HISTORY
Against Oregon, the Utes are 8-14. The Ducks swept the matchup last season. Utah is 4-7 all time against Oregon in Salt Lake City.
Ranked Opponents
The Utes defeated No. 13 Washington on the road a couple of weekends ago. That's the first ranked opponent Utah has beaten this season.
In the Pac 12, it doesn't get any easier as the conference has eight teams ranked in the top 25. Oregon came in at No. 14 in the latest AVCA rankings and will be the sixth ranked opponent the Utes have played this season.
The Ducks will be the fourth opponent that Utah has played in the top 15.
Block Party
The Utes had 21.0 blocks against the Cal Bears. That is the first time the Utes have surpassed 20 blocks since 2013 when Utah did it against Arizona.
Leading the way was
Kennedi Evans. She had 15.0 blocks against the Golden Bears, which is the second most in program history and the most ever in a five-set match.
The 15.0 blocks is also the most in a five-set match across the NCAA this season.
The Utah program record is held by Lori Baird, who had 16.0 in a three-set match against BYU in 2008.
In Pac-12 play, Evans is second in the conference averaging 1.38 blocks per set.
Serving up Aces
Utah is fifth in the conference in aces per set averaging 1.28.
Dani Drews leads the team with 26 aces.
Bailey Choy is second on the team with 22 aces. She has 13 through the first seven Pac-12 matches and is averaging .41 per set in conference play.
Against Cal, the Utes had nine service aces matching their conference high for the season.
