SALT LAKE CITY - Carly Nelson has been named the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week for her shutout performances against Washington and No. 7 Washington State this past weekend.
Nelson made a season-high nine saves in the win over the Huskies and then recorded her fifth shutout of the season, and
10th of her career, against the nationally ranked Cougars.
Nelson currently ranks atop the Pac-12 with a .903 save percentage and three shutouts in league play. She also ranks second with 57 saves and third with a goals-against average of 0.70.
This is the
14th Pac-12 weekly award for Utah Soccer and second for Nelson.
The Utes are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. vs. Oregon State. The annual Power of Pink contest will be live streamed on UtahUtes.com.
