FIRST SERVE
Utah looks to push its win streak to three as it opens the weekend at Oregon on Wednesday, November 14 and then travel to Oregon State on Friday, November 16.
The Utes are coming off of a weekend where they beat No. 20 Arizona and then Arizona State so they hope to continue that momentum.
Oregon sits at 17-9 on the season and is 10-6 in Pac-12 play. They earned a split last weekend losing to Stanford and defeating Cal.
Oregon State sits in last place in the Pac-12 with an 11-17 record overall and a 1-15 Pac-12 record. Their one Pac-12 victory came against Arizona State.
Both matches will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.
SERIES HISTORY
Utah is 9-14 all time against Oregon after defeating them in the first meeting this season in Salt Lake City. The Utes have never swept the Ducks in a season and are 4-6 in Eugene overall.
Utah is 10-11 against Oregon State overall and has won five of the last six meetings against the Beavers. In the first matchup between these two teams, it took Utah five sets to get the victory.
CLOSING IT OUT STRONG
After getting up 2-0 against Arizona State, Utah gave the Sun Devils zero hope in a comeback by racing out to an 18-3 lead in the third and closing things out 25-6.
The six points is the lowest point total that the Utes have held any team since joining the Pac-12 in 2011. Sunday's third set was only the sixth time since 2011 that Utah has held an opponent to single digits in a set.
It was also only the second time that has happened against a Pac-12 team. The other team was against Cal, when the Utes outscored them 25-8.
RANKED OPPONENTS
Utah earned its fourth victory of the season over a ranked opponent as it defeated No. 20 Arizona on Friday in five sets. The other victories over ranked opponents have come against Washington and Oregon.
This week, Utah will face off against No. 16 Oregon for its 12th matchup this season against a ranked opponent.
In the latest AVCA rankings, there are seven Pac-12 teams in the top-25.
1,000 CAREER DIGS
Against Washington State,
Brianna Doehrmann became the 11th player in program history and 164th player in Pac-12 history that reached the 1,000-career digs mark.
Doehrmann has seven matches this season with at least 20 digs. That is the most 20-dig matches by a Utah player since 2010 when Keisha Fisher had eight matches with 20 digs in 2010.
Doehrmann is ninth in the Pac-12 averaging 3.94 digs per set and has stepped that up in conference play averaging 4.20 digs per set.
3,000 ASSISTS
Against Arizona,
Bailey Choy became the sixth setter in program history to accumulate over 3,000 career assists. Coming into the match, she needed 30 and totaled 37 against the Wildcats.
This season, Choy has averaged 8.24 assists per set and has 882 on the season.
In 2017, she became the first player with over 1,000 assists in a season since the 2010 season.
