• Utah returns home to the Huntsman Center for a mid-week match-up against Mississippi Valley State.
• This marks just the second meeting between the Utes and the Delta Devils following last season's inaugural game played in Salt Lake City. Utah won the contest, 91-51.

Utah (1-1) is back at home this week to take on the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (0-2) in a non-conference match-up this Thursday, Nov. 15. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Monday's contest will air on the Utah Athletics Radio Network (ESPN 700 AM) with Bill Riley and
Jimmy Soto announcing. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Guy Haberman calling the action and Matt Muehlebach providing color commentary.

SCOUTING MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE
The Delta Devils are 0-2 on the season, but will have another non-conference game prior to playing the Utes when they take on Utah State this Tuesday in Logan. MVSU dropped its first contest of the season, 106-37, on the road at Nebraska and then followed with another defeat, falling 82-54 to Texas Tech.

Jordan Evans leads MVSU with a 14.0 points per game average, while also leading his squad with a .423 field goal shooting percentage and three steals on the season. Dante Scott follows with 8.5 points per game and Michael Green averages 7.5 points per game for the Delta Devils.

The Delta Devils are shooting .254 from the field overall, .263 from three-point range and .708 from the free throw line. MVSU averages 32 rebounds and 44.5 points per game over its first two contests of the season.

UTAH vs. MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE SERIES HISTORY
Thursday's contest will mark just the second game between the Utes and Delta Devils. Utah won the inaugural meeting, 91-51, in Salt Lake City last season, back on Nov. 13, 2017. Utah is a perfect 5-0 all-time when playing teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

LAST TIME OUT
The Utes hit the road for the first time this season this past Monday, falling to the Minnesota Golden Gophers 78-69 at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. Utah trailed by five points early and then reeled off a 9-0 run to take a 16-12 lead, but the Gophers countered with a 12-2 run of its own and led the Utes 33-26 at the break.

Utah opened the second half with the first four points, but a 24-16 run pushed Minnesota to a 15-point lead and the Gophers never looked back, en route to the nine-point victory.

Sedrick Barefield and
Vante Hendrix led the Utes with 14 points each and
Novak Topalovic chipped in with 13 points, but it wasn't enough as all five starters for Minnesota registered double-digit scoring efforts, led by Gabe Kalscheur's game-high 19 points.

UP NEXT
Utah will hit the road again next week as the team heads to Fullerton, Calif., to compete in the Wooden Legacy Classic, which will be played at Titan Gym. Utah will open the tournament against Hawaii next Thursday, Nov. 22, with a tip-off time set for 8:30 p.m. CT/9:30 p.m. MT. Also on Utah's side of the bracket is Seton Hall and Grand Canyon. The other side of the bracket includes Miami, La Salle, Northwestern and Fresno State.
