SALT LAKE CITY –
Dani Drews has been named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday, November 26.
Drews is coming off a week where she broke two program records and finished the week with 52 kills hitting .392 with only 12 errors on 102 swings.
In the first match of the week on the road at No. 15 USC, Drews broke the three-set kill record at Utah with 22 and helped lead the Utes to a sweep over the Trojans. She followed that unbelievable performance up with another one as she had 30 kills against Colorado to break the four-set kill record.
Against Colorado, she helped close out the match in four sets with nine kills and zero errors in the final set.
She also had her 17th double-double of the season against Colorado.
This is the first career Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award for Drews and the 13
th all-time for Utah.
It's been a great week for the Utes winning their last three matches of the regular season and finding out they will be headed to the Provo Regional to take on Denver in the first round of the NCAA Tournament beginning Friday, November 30.
