SAN FRANCISCO – Utah track and field senior
Mesa Weidle has been named the Pac-12 Women's Track Athlete of the Week, announced today by the conference.
Weidle placed second in the 400 at the Mark Faldmo Invitational with a season-best time of 57.28. The time ranks 23
rd in the Pac-12 in the event and was the best time by a Pac-12 student-athlete over the weekend.
Weidle is the second Utah student-athlete to earn Pac-12 Track Athlete of the Week honors this season, joining
Grayson Murphy (April 3). Utah has had three total honorees since joining the league in 2012 (Stephanie Jolley, 2013).
