Pac-12 Coaches Poll
SALT LAKE CITY – With the 2018 season just over a week away, the Pac-12 announced its preseason all-conference team as well as coaches poll heading into the season.
Senior middle blocker
Berkeley Oblad was named to the Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference team after she totaled 300 kills and 142 blocks in 2017. Oblad earned honorable mention AVCA All-American honors, AVCA All-Region honors and honorable mention Pac-12 All-Conference honors.
"Berkeley is so deserving of this recognition," head coach
Beth Launiere said. "She has established herself as one of the top middle blockers in the PAC-12 and in the nation, and I'm pleased that the PAC-12 coaches honored her by putting her on the preseason all-conference list. She is prepared for a great senior season."
The Pac-12 coaches poll was also released and No. 19 Utah was picked to finish eighth in the conference.
"There are so many good teams in the PAC-12 that it's difficult to predict where teams will finish," Launiere said. "With that said, while we lost a lot to graduation last year, we also return a lot of talented players that gained a tremendous amount of experience finishing fourth in the PAC and ninth in the country."
The Utes return seven letterwinners from last season's team as well as four starters plus the libero.
Preseason No. 1 Stanford was picked to win the league with 11 first place votes. The rest of the preseason coaches poll can be seen

Utah begins its season by hosting the Utah Volleyball Classic at the Huntsman Center beginning on Friday, August 24. The Utes will play UC Irvine on Friday followed by Saint Mary's and Denver on Saturday.
Season tickets are currently on sale for the season for just $25. Utah has 14 home matches in the Huntsman Center this season.
