SEATTLE, Wash. – The Utes have to regroup quickly after dropping a heartbreaker on the road at No. 22 Washington State as they have a quick turnaround and face No. 13 Washington on the road on Sunday, September 30 at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out: After falling down two sets to Washington State, the Utes rallied to tie the score up and force a fifth set. In the fifth set, Utah had three match points, but the Cougars spoiled them before taking advantage of their one match point to win the match. Freshman
Megan Yett got her first career start and came up big against Washington State with 18 kills and 18 digs.
Series History
Against Washington, the Utes are 7-16 overall. Utah did win its last match in Seattle against the Huskies in five sets. It was the first time that Utah has ever won in Seattle.
Double-doubles
Dani Drews and
Bailey Choy each have eight double-doubles this season. That is tied for second in the Pac-12 and only one double-double behind the conference leader, Kendra Dahlke on Arizona.
Lauga Gauta is also towards the top of the Pac-12 with six double-doubles this season.
Against Washington State, freshman
Megan Yett had her second career double-double with careers highs in kills with 18 and digs with 18.
Going The Distance
Utah has played in six five-set matches so far this season going 2-4 in those matches.
Against Washington State, the Utes were down two sets and rallied to push the match to a fifth set. Utah had three match points, but the Cougars kept the match alive and took advantage of their first opportunity to win the match.
Last season, the Utes played in seven five-set matches. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, the most five setters the Utes have played in is eight back in 2012.
Yett Gets Her Chance
Freshman
Megan Yett got her first career start on the road and stepped up in a big way for the Utes.
She led the team with 18 kills and had her second career double-double finishing with 18 digs.
Koerber Comes Up Big
Yett wasn't the only player with career highs in Pullman.
Kenzie Koerber also had a career match finishing with 15 kills hitting .394. In the third set when the Utes were facing a 2-0 hole, Koerber had five kills hitting .714 to help start the comeback.
She not only was good on offense, but also led the team with seven blocks. Against Colorado, Koerber had eight blocks, so in three matches in the Pac-12, she has had at least seven blocks in two of them.
