Dani Drews surpassed the 1,000-career kill mark against Cal after having 25 kills.
This season, she has six 20-kill matches
The Second Team All-American had 17 kills in the sweep against UCLA hitting .412 and leads the team in kills so far this season with 301 kills. Against Cal, she got the job done all over the court finishing with 25 kills hitting .306, setting a career high with five aces and having 12 digs.
Drews became the 17th player in Utah volleyball history to reach the 1,000 career kill mark.
KA'AHA'AINA-TORRES CONTROLS THE OFFENSE
Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres had her second straight match with 52 assists when the team played against Cal.
Her average of 11.08 assists per set is the 15th best mark in the country.
She has 12 matches with at least 40 assists this season including her last seven matches. The 52 assists is her career high.
DOEHRMANN MOVES UP RECORD BOOKS
Brianna Doehrmann has had a good start to the year and is moving up the record books.
After having 16 digs against Oregon, Doehrmann is now in the third spot for career digs in program history.
She now has 1,404 career digs.
In 2018, she became the 11th player in program history and 164th player in Pac-12 history that reached the 1,000-career digs mark.
Doehrmann had eight matches last year with at least 20 digs and two 20-dig matches this season.
