SALT LAKE CITY – After sweeping the LA schools for the first time in program history, freshman outside hitter
Zoe Weatherington has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced.
Weatherington averaged 3.11 kills per set hitting .300 for the weekend. She posted double-figure kills in both matches helping Utah improve to 18-7 overall and 10-4 in the Pac-12.
She had 15 kills against USC as the Utes completed a comeback to win 18-16 in five sets. Against UCLA, Weatherington followed that up with 13 kills hitting .318.
This is Weatherington's first career weekly honor and fifth all-time freshman award for Utah.
