QUICK STICKS
•Fifth-year head coach
Tom Farden has sole reign over the Utah gymnastics program following the retirement of legendary Ute athlete and coach Megan Marsden. A trailblazer for the sport, Farden has managed all facets of the program and has been at the helm of training, recruiting, staff hires, and oversight of the entire program. This marks Farden's 10th season overall with Utah gymnastics.
•Young, but extremely talented roster returns just 10-of-24 routines from last year's NCAA Championships seventh-place finish.
•Utah returns two All-Americans in senior
Missy Reinstadtler (all-around) and junior
Sydney Soloski (floor). Reinstadtler is returning from a foot injury that limited her to competing solely on bars last season and will look to return to her all-around status.
•Sophomore
Cristal Isa, who suffered a season-ending elbow injury last year, will also look to make an impact in the all-around for the Utes. Reinstadtler and Isa's return will supply the Utes with seven additional routines that they were without last season.
•One of five newcomers for Utah, junior transfer
Emilie LeBlanc will be crucial in the bars and beam lineups. Prior to joining Utah, LeBlanc shined on the respective events at Maryland and holds a career-high 9.90 on both events.
•Highly touted freshman class consists of two former U.S. National Team members (
Maile O'Keefe and
Abby Paulson) and two Junior Olympic national champions (
Jillian Hoffman and
Jaedyn Rucker).Â
