Volleyball to Take on Stanford in Sweet 16

Fourth Sweet 16 in Program History
SALT LAKE CITY – The NCAA has announced the schedule for next weekend and Utah will play Stanford on Friday, December 13 at 9 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
Utah defeated two 2018 Final Four teams in the Provo for the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament by defeating Illinois in five sets and then coming back and sweeping BYU on their home court.
The sweep over BYU was their first of any kind at home since 2011.
Heading into the matchup with Stanford, Utah is 24-9, winning five in a row going back to the regular season. Stanford is 26-4 and is on a 13-match winning streak.
This is the fourth Sweet 16 that Utah has made in program history and the second in three years.
The winner of Utah and Stanford will play the winner of Penn State and Cincinnati on Saturday, December 14 at 8 p.m. MT.
