SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah volleyball team has released its 2019 spring competition dates, head coach
Beth Launiere said. Utah will play a pair of individual matches and then will close out the spring schedule hosting the Utah Spring Tournament.
"Spring competitions are a great training opportunity for our players," said Launiere. "They allow the athletes to gain experience, as well as help us evaluate our overall training objectives and goals. At this point in the season, we are practicing both indoor and on the Beach which is great cross training for our athletes."
The first date is coming up this weekend as Utah will play this Saturday, February 23 at BYU at 12 p.m. Then, Utah will travel to Utah Valley to play on Thursday, February 28 at 4 p.m. followed by hosting their own tournament on Saturday, March 30. There will be eight teams coming to participate in Utah's spring tournament.
The eight teams will be divided into two groups with Pool A being Utah, BYU, Weber State and Colorado State. Pool B will be Utah Valley, Boise State, Utah State and Idaho State.
Matches will start at 9 a.m. and go all the way to 4 p.m. All matches will be played on Crimson Court.
