Prior to the 2019 Utah Soccer season, get to know some of the student-athletes. Today, meet Jessica Hixson
Q: How did your interest in soccer begin?
My cousin played when I was little and I always looked up to them
Q: What is your favorite part about playing soccer?
All of the friends I have met and all the places I have traveled
Q: What made you choose Utah?
It is close to home but still out of state and I get to play in the Pac-12
Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of playing soccer?
I enjoy watching a lot of movies on Netflix and like to hang with my family and friends
Q: Who is your biggest influence in life and why?
My mom because she is the strongest person I know
Q: What do you think the keys to success are?
Being organized and knowing it is okay to ask for help
Q: If you could play or go pro in any other sport, what would it be and why?
Volleyball because I played when I was younger and loved it
Q: What are you looking forward to most this season?
Getting another chance against teams we did not get the result we wanted last year
Q: What is your favorite part about being on the soccer team at Utah?
All of the support we get and the sense of community
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Salt Lake City?
It was Rubios until it shut down, nor probably Zupas
Q: If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Reading minds

Christmas
Q: If you could take three things with you to a desert island, what would they be?
Fire starter, machete and a camper
