Prior to the 2019 Utah Soccer season, get to know some of the student-athletes. Today, meet Kristin Fairbairn
Q: How did your interest in soccer begin?
I got thrown into soccer at a young age and I loved it ever since
Q: What is your favorite part about playing soccer?
It pushes you mentally and physically to places you would not be able to push yourself without teammates
Q: What made you choose Utah?
I wanted to be in the Pac-12 and compete with the best of the best
Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of playing soccer?
Watch other sports, play other sports, nap, walk my dog, go on hikes
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Do not have the mindset of "I just have to get through the day." You need to look at every day as an opportunity to get better
Q: Who is your biggest influence in life and why?
My dad because he is the hardest working person I know
Q: What do you think the keys to success are?
Taking care of your body off the field
Q: If you could play or go pro in any other sport, what would it be and why?
Volleyball because it is indoors and you do not have to run
Q: What are you looking forward to most this season?
Going to Alabama and Clemson because it is our first road trip and games
Q: What is your favorite part about being on the soccer team at Utah?
The team is like a sisterhood. When girls graduate they always stay in touch and when new ones come in it is like a brand new set of sisters
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Salt Lake City?
Eggs in the City or Japa Sushi
Q: If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Reading peoples minds
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas
Q: If you could take three things with you to a desert island, what would they be?
My dog, Drake, Netflix and my bed with snacks included

100 years in the future to my home town of Vancouver
