SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Lauren Sproule's summer of representing Utah volleyball while training with the Canadian National Team continues as she is participating in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
The tournament began Wednesday, August 7 with Canada dropping its opening match to the host team Peru in four sets. They will also play Dominican Republic and Colombia.
Sproule has spent the summer training in Canada on the Canadian Volleyball's Next Gen squad, which trained and practiced with the Senior A squad.
This past season she saw action at outside hitter as well as middle blocker. Sproule led the team hitting .315 on the year and finished with 96 kills after starting 14 matches.
She will be back on campus and join her teammates on Monday, August 19.
