SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah volleyball team welcomes Madelyn Robinson to the team as the rising junior outside hitter transfers to Utah from BYU.
Originally from Highland, Utah, Robinson has totaled 417 kills, 197 digs and 82 blocks in her first two season's playing with the Cougars.
This past season, she played in 112 sets finishing with 279 kills, 170 digs and 43 blocks. Robinson led BYU in kills in seven matches and posted a career high with 18 kills twice against Marquette and San Diego.
Robinson also contributed her freshman season in 2018, helping the team to a 31-2 record as they made it to the Final Four having 150 kills and 42.0 blocks during the year. One of her best games came against Florida in the Sweet 16 as she had 10 kills and 2.0 blocks.
Highly touted coming out of high school, she was named an AVCA Under Armour All-American as well as being named a PrepVolleyball.com High School All-American and being a finalist for 2017 National Player of the Year. Robinson won back-to-back state championships at Lone Peak High School.
Robinson is already on campus at Utah and will train with the team this spring to prepare for the 2020 season this fall.
