SALT LAKE CITY – After going to the Sweet 16 last fall, Utah volleyball has started training in the spring and will have several spring matches to prepare for the 2020 season in the fall.
Utah has three matches scheduled so far with two of them on Crimson Court and are working on scheduling a fourth match.
Two of the four matches this spring will be against BYU. The first one is this Friday, February 28 on Crimson Court at 2:30 p.m. The second match will be down in Provo on Friday, April 3 in Smith's Fieldhouse at 3:30 p.m.
The Utes third match is on Thursday, March 5 against Utah Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Crimson Court.
This past season, Utah swept Utah Valley during the regular season and then knocked off BYU in the second round in straight sets to reach the Sweet 16 in Smith's Fieldhouse.
Utah will play a fourth match this spring that will be announced later.
In addition to training and playing in these matches, the Utes had six players attend the U.S. National Team Open Tryout last weekend, in Colorado Springs and returning All-Americans
Dani Drews and
Kenzie Koerber have been invited to train with the national team from March 14-21.
