SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team returns home to the friendly confines of the Jon M. Huntsman Center where it'll face off against St. Thomas on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m. (MT).

Jacob Tobey will walk fans through the action in the first meeting ever between the two programs while Dan Belluomini serves as the analyst on the Pac-12 Networks broadcast.

FIRST TIMERS
So far this season, the Utes are 3-1 when playing opponents for the first time ever in program history. Utah will have another first-time opponent this Saturday when it battles the Tommies on the hardwood. The Runnin' Utes have so far defeated Long Island, CSU Bakersfield and Georgia Tech while dropping a tough battle against Sam Houston.

Utah has two remaining first-time opponents for non-conference slate in St. Thomas and Jacksonville State (Dec. 8).

Branden Carlson is just 150 points away from becoming the 41st player in Runnin' Ute history to reach 1,000 career points. The South Jordan product currently sits at 850 career points and 78 total points on the season.

SCOUTING THE TOMMIES
St. Thomas comes to Salt Lake City for the first time this Saturday when it faces Utah on the hardwood court. It enters the match-up 5-2 overall and 1-2 so far when playing on the road. The Tommies, who are in their second year transitioning from Division III, have put opponents on notice giving then-No. 9 Creighton a scare on the road before falling 72-60.

Riley Miller leads the team averaging 15.6 points and 2.1 rebounds with a .485 shooting clip – including a deadly .500 clip from deep (28-of-56). Andrew Rohde is averaging 12.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists for the Tommies to go with his .429 shooting clip. Last game's leading scorer, Brooks Allen, is averaging 10.1 points with a team-high 5.0 rebounding average is also averaging 3.0 assists while shooting 48.9 percent from the field. Parker Bjorklund, who has missed two games, including St. Thomas' last game, is the final Tommie player in double-figures averaging 10.0 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting .457 from the floor. Kendall Blue and Will Engels has also been shooting will for the Tommies, checking in at .500 and .760 – respectively.

LAST TIME OUT
The Runnin' Utes battled head-to-head against the Bulldogs of Mississippi State down to the wire this past Wednesday in the championship game of the Ft. Myers Tip-Off but ultimately fell 52-49. Both teams relied heavily on its defense with Utah shooting just 32.7-percent to Hail State's 25.4-percent. Oregon State transfer Dashawn Davis led all scorers with 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting from three with four steals while Tolu Smith had a dominant game with 16 points and 16 points for the Bulldogs.
Marco Anthony was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging 10.5 points and 6.0 rebounds for Utah.

The Utes are in their third year of playing a 20-game conference schedule and set to face an undefeated #14/12 Arizona team next Thursday, Dec. 1, at home. Ted Robinson and Don MacLean will have the call on Pac-12 Networks for the 69th meeting all-time between the Utes and Wildcats.

LOOKING AHEAD
Utah wraps up its two early Pac-12 games later that weekend as it travels up to the Palouse for a 2 p.m. (MT) meeting against the Cougars of Washington State on ESPNU next Sunday, Dec. 4, before returning home to close out the non-conference slate.
